The nearly global 50 plus years of suppression and prohibition of psychedelic medicines has relegated the advancements of practice and theory to primarily underground contexts, slowing the development of the field by impinging on the integration of what we know about psychedelic healing with the contemporary standards of practice within depth psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, and social justice theory.
In response to the needs of the renaissance in psychedelic medicine, we have initiated an annual council.
Seeing Clearly is an invitation-based seminar, gathering together a diverse group of psychedelic psychotherapy practitioners with complementary areas of expertise. The aim of this gathering is to further develop and challenge the discourse surrounding psychedelic psychotherapy. This annual event will bring together a group of 60 psychedelic psychotherapy practitioners to discuss issues that are central to our field. Participants will take part in keynote presentations, panel discussions, and breakout groups.
We see community and self care as the fundamental ground for furthering the practice of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. We hope to foster these foundational elements by holding the council at the beautiful Wilbur Hot Springs, where we can connect with each other, nature, and the healing waters, and support self care through yoga, sound healing, massage and organic vegetarian meals. We offer an option of indoor housing as well outdoor camping.
